I try hard to keep busy and to keep making new pictures. The photographs here aren't new, but were just completed last week. Both are from Indonesia, 2014. This picture above is an agricultural burn just outside Yogyakarta in Central Java - a silver gelatin print toned with selenium and Lipton tea. The picture below is from Bandung, taken outside the Lawangwangi Art Space in the hills above the city.
In collaboration with Yogyakarta based curator Alia Swastika, I am organized a two-night screening of contemporary film and video art from Java. The screening will first be held at the Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University on Thursday, April 20th at 5:15, and then a second time at the Colorado College on Wednesday, April 26th. Please contact me for more information!
The book I published with Afterhours Books and Cornell University is now being sold at Photo Eye in Santa Fe.
