Casa Susanna was resort in the Catskills in New York for cross dressers, active around 1960. The new book from Thames & Hudson, Casa Susanna, provides a sort of photographic history of the resort and thus offers unique insight into the history of gender expression. My review was published by C4 Journal and is available here.
