Kristine Potter's book Dark Waters is a unique photographic narrative. Based on a folk music genre called murder ballads - songs detailing violence against women - the book is a mix of landscapes and portraits made in the American South, attempting to visualize the longstanding impacts of misogyny. My review of the book was published by Photo Eye and is available here.
