Dark Flowers is a narrative about desire and sexuality. Employing a sort of collage narrative, the book is made with Polaroids of my garden on winter nights juxtaposed with found object photographs, and 5 tipped-in monochrome prints on a handmade, red paper. It is perfect bound and printed on Mohawk recycled paper. It is accompanied by a poem by Adrian Mitchell, Stufferation. Dark Flowers is printed in a small edition, with a few remaining copies. Please contact me directly if you are interested in seeing more of the book or getting a copy.
Stufferation
Lovers lie around in it
Broken glass is found in it
Grass
I like that stuff
Tuna fish get trapped in it
Legs come wrapped in it
Nylon
I like that stuff
Man-made fibres and raw materials
Oil rolled gold and breakfast cereals
Platinum linoleum
I like that stuff
Skin on my hands
Hair on my head
Toenails on my feet
And linen on my bed
Well I like that stuff
Yes I like that stuff
The earth
Is made of earth
And I like that stuff
